FirstLink Timeline

1994 – FirstLink Consulting founded

FirstLink started in 1994 in Boulder, CO as a network consulting company working for clients to secure and maintain their burgeoning TCP/IP network infrastructure. FirstLink Consulting also managed UNIX environments for various companies specifically around the Solaris operating systems.

1995 – Denver Online founded

In 1995 Denver Online was founded to assist the people of the Denver metro area with localized information about businesses and real estate.

1996 – Regional dial-up and broadband access provider
1996 – Apache and Microsoft hosting solutions introduced

In 1996 Denver Online changed its mission to provide local IP connectivity and business-grade hosting services instead of content delivery. These two companies worked together throughout the late 1990s to deliver best of breed connectivity and hosting solutions to clients worldwide.

1998 – JAVA hosting and Oracle hosting solutions added.
1999 – Regional DSL provider
2001 – FirstLink Consulting and Denver Online merge to become FirstLink Technology, Inc.

In 2001 Denver Online merged with FirstLink Consulting to form FirstLink Technology, Inc. and with the purchase of our current data center facility at 4260 East Evans Avenue in Denver, CO the path was set to offer scalable and reliable hosting, co-location and managed services for infrastructure, software, and applications.

2004 – Exiting residential IP access business

Today we still utilize our data center in southeast Denver, and we utilize centers from other companies as well to offer service delivery specific to our client’s needs. Whether that is geographic location, convenience, global IP or application delivery, web management services, and technology consulting services.
